Privacy Policy

Entrants, formats, results and the tournament name are held in your browser’s local storage, under a single key named bracket-maker:v1. They are never transmitted to us, because there is no account system, no database and no server-side copy of anything you type.

You can erase all of it at any time with the Reset all button, or by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings. Neither action needs our involvement, and once it is done the data is gone.

Page views are counted with Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and builds no profile: visitors are counted from a hash of the incoming request, which is discarded after 24 hours, so it cannot follow anyone between visits or across other sites.

Each page view records the page address and any referrer, an approximate location from the IP address, and the browser, operating system and device type. The IP address itself is not stored, and the figures are only ever read in aggregate. Vercel documents this at vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-policy.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet. Google may also collect your IP address, device and browser information, and interactions with the ads it serves.

None of your tournament data is shared with Google or with any advertiser. The ad code has no access to it.

You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. Ads will still appear, but they will not be tailored to you.

You can opt out of a wider set of third-party vendors at aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.com.

Where the law requires it, you are asked for consent before any advertising cookie is set, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time. Withdrawing consent does not stop you using the tool, which never needed cookies in the first place.

You also have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to it, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Requests about the advertising data Google holds are best directed to Google, since it is Google that collects and holds it. We never receive it.

There is no account system, no newsletter and no contact form. The fonts are served from this domain rather than fetched from Google, so loading a page contacts no one but this site, Google’s ad servers and Vercel’s analytics endpoint.

We do not sell your personal information, and we never see your tournaments.

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be noted on the page rather than made quietly.
